September 15, 2021Amidst raging threats of another lockdown in Uganda, many Ugandans are taking it upon themselves to ensure that they are vaccinated. Based on the previous addresses of the president of Uganda, there is hope that business will go back to normal once the vaccination mark of 5 million Ugandans is hit.
Tour operators vaccination exercise kicks off
The vaccination exercise kicked off on 2nd June 2021 at the Uganda museum. The turn up has been good. On 3rd June, there was a turn up of over 600 people. The exercise is continuing today with the hope of extending the exercise in case the association of Uganda tour operators and its partners reconsider.
Upon arrival at the Uganda museum; every tour operator is required to register before proceeding to get their Covid-19 jab.
Important to note; whether you have been vaccinated or not; you are required to observe the standard operation procedures (SOPs) as stipulated by the ministry of health. That is wearing a facemask, social distancing and sanitizing, or washing your hands often.
The same standard operation procedures are still required even on a Uganda safari. You will be required to wash your hands at the park entrances, undergo a temperature scan as well as wear a face mask.
In a few days; we shall be communicating the updated Covid-19 guidelines after the presidential address
